Are you eligible for the SEAI EV chargepoint grant?

The SEAI EV chargepoint grant reduces the cost of a home charger and its installation by €600.

  1. The electric vehicle should be parked in an off-street location linked to the applicant’s home, with the charger connected to the applicant’s residence.
  2. To confirm your home’s location, the Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) on your electricity bill will be utilized.
  3. The property must not have previously received a grant payment for a home EV charging point.
  4. Do not initiate any work before the specified start date in your Letter of Offer, as expenses incurred prior will be ineligible for grant support.
  5. You have a 6-month window from the date of receiving the emailed Letter of Offer to complete your installation and submit your Payment Request Form to SEAI, including all required documentation—Certificate 3, Test Record, installation photo, and electrician’s invoice.
